Golf Challenges is a free scorecard app. These terms are short because there is not much to them: no account, no subscription, and nothing of yours held anywhere.
Last updated 6 August 2026
By downloading or using Golf Challenges ("the app") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app. The app is provided by Arun Kumar ("we", "us").
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own use. You may not sell it, rent it, reverse engineer it, or redistribute it. Nothing here transfers ownership of the app or its content to you.
Golf Challenges is a scorekeeper. It records what players have agreed among themselves and works out who owes what — the same as writing it on the back of a paper card. It does not take, hold, transfer, or pay out money of any kind, and it never asks for card or bank details.
Any wager is a private arrangement between you and the people you are playing with. We are not a party to it, we do not enforce it, and we have no involvement in whether anyone actually pays. Settling up happens between you, away from the app.
Betting and gaming laws differ from place to place. You are responsible for making sure that anything you agree with your playing partners is lawful where you are, and for being old enough to agree to it. If it is not lawful where you are, use the points or nothing options instead — the games work identically.
The app calculates settlements from the scores and handicaps you enter, using the rules of the game you selected. We have tested that arithmetic carefully, and it shows its working on the Money screen so you can check it. But it depends entirely on what you type in, and house rules vary from course to course and group to group.
The figures are provided for convenience. They are not a binding determination of anything, and you should not treat them as one. If you and your playing partners disagree with what the app says, you are free to settle it however you like — that is your business, not ours.
Everything you enter is stored only on your device. We hold no copy, so we cannot restore anything for you. If you lose your phone, delete the app, or the storage becomes corrupted, the rounds go with it. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is stored and where.
Do not use the app to break the law, to harass anyone, or to run a gambling operation. Do not enter other people's personal information into it beyond the names you need on a scorecard.
The app is provided as it is. We may update it, change how it works, or stop offering it, at any time and without notice. Since it runs entirely on your device, a version you already have installed will keep working whether or not we carry on.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any calculation it performs will suit your particular game or house rules.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any lost data, lost profits, or amounts wagered, lost or disputed between players, arising out of your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app, which is nothing.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
If you obtained the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store's own terms also apply to your download. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app and are not parties to these terms, though they may enforce them as third-party beneficiaries where their own rules require it.
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
